Joel Gion from The Dilettantes – will be on the road in Europe with Brian Jonestown Massacre for festivals dates- He’s thrilled to be playing the big stage at Glastonbury- one of our favourite bands VERVE is headlining the shindig. Catch Joel all over Europe- stay tuned for “Whole World” to be released all over the place- lots good things happening there. Top secret behind the scenes sunshine rock.
Golden Animals – we are in pre-release mode for their debut record- “Free Your Mind and Win A Pony” produced by Chris Coady (TV on the Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Entrance) and Thom Monahan (Pernice Brothers, Gary Louris, Devendra Banhart)so far the music jury has been praising the record and you should start to be hearing and reading about them anytime now- The record is also being released in Europe too. Watch for lots of West Coast dates coming soon.
the Impediments went into the studio with Greg Ashley (Gris Gris) to record their debut record. This band is years ahead of their time with record collections that would make any rock and roll buff smile- The oldest member of the Impediments is 18- so there is some pure glam and roll angst ready to roll here.
The Lion Man/Music Of The Spheres has been steady spinning records before VERVE shows for years- this mysterious curator of the classics has led us to our latest signing The Sand Band- true soul is shining in Liverpool- You can hear some music on the bands MySpace- there are lots more tracks where those came from. DJ Wayne will also be producing some classic mix tapes (CDs) for HappyParts store real soon-
