Port O’Brien – I was familiar with the group’s name, label, local time-served, and hispter praise – but not their music.  Most  jetset jockey releases put me to sleep. This track stands up. I found it on a free sampler at my local record store, Rasputin. “My Will is Good”  has a dark and bright dream pop feel to it all. Keep it to yourself.

Citay – dig this upcoming San Francisco release on Dead Oceans - part $1.00 bin, part 60’s Pop, and part Confederate porch - all compliments to my ears.  A whole lot of awesome,  clocking in at 6:56  for one boogie shaker groove maker.  Thank you Pitchfork.   Nice one Citay.  Have a nice holiday everyone.

Here’s the skinny – no pun intended. There is no order to all of this, but it seems to work for HappyParts.
