Classic Track of Day – Led Zeppelin

My good friend Jefferson Parker reminded me of Roy Harper’s legacy and his influence on Jimmy Page – after he listened to a new Graham Coxon tune. (Curious if anyone has highlighted Graham’s superb musicianship on his latest release – so many reviews these days focus on everything but the actual performance)  He was impressed with GC’s new tune.  Jefferson is a music professor of mine.  Besides writing and performing great songs,  he has been pricing used LP’s  for 15+ years at the largest indie shop west of  New Mexico so for him to give thumbs up – must mean somethin’.  He confirms my suspicions when I am jazzed by new, or old song.  I have faith in his ears.  Sometimes he flat out says’ I’m tripping.   I like that too.  Hats off to JP, GC and LZ – I normally don’t wear a hat (accept on Yom Kippur).

Hats Off To (Roy) Harper
