“Love is Blue” was a single released in 1968 prior to Truth album release.  The tune was an easy listening hit in the states for Paul Mauriat.   “Greensleeves” is a traditional English folk song found on Truth.  HappyParts has been keen on studio performance these days.  These two tracks are an awkward, yet shining tangential for captain blues rock.

Glad and Sorry – not the most  Bacchus fueled Faces tune, but the sentimentality of the piano melody can be useful at the end of a long, anti-climactic day.  Nobody gets a free lunch. Ronnie Lane understood that.

Classic Track of Day – Terry Reid

1973 Atlantic 7259

1973 Atlantic 7259

Terry Reid has true soul.  His delicate guitar,  smokey vocal, and the overall dive bar feel of this record warms my heart.  Great session players on a soul filled R&B  jag.  Terry is a member of rock and roll royalty – his career is that of  a minute too fast, or too late (Led Zeppelin and more). He toured with some great ones. (Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac)  It’s obvious why they kept him so close.
